Connecticut State Dental Association Appoints New President

Dr. William Nash, a general dentist in Fairfield, was installed on May 6 during the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) House of Delegates Annual Session at Mohegan Sun. Dr. Nash will serve a one-year term as the CSDA President.

“As President of the CSDA, I will continue my predecessors’ tradition of advocating for the highest quality of oral healthcare for Connecticut residents,” said Dr. Nash. “By acting as a voice and a resource for dentists and their patients, the CSDA is improving oral health across the state,” Dr. Nash continued.

Dr. Nash earned his B.S. from Tufts University and is a graduate of UConn School of Dental Medicine. He is a former consulting dentist for the CLASP Home in Easton and Re-entry Ministry of Bridgeport. Dr. Nash is also committed to giving back. He has participated in all eight Connecticut Mission of Mercy Free Dental clinics, and has spent time treating residents of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

Also, elected to the CSDA Board of Governors were Dr. Michael Ungerleider of Granby as the President-Elect; Dr. Jeffrey Simpson of Putnam as the Vice President; and Dr. Al Natelli of Southington as Treasurer. As well as, Dr. Jeffrey Berkley, Dr. Anjanette Gjertsen, Dr. Neil Goodkind, Dr. Steve Hall, Dr. Tam Le, Dr. Laurence Levy, Dr. Gary Linker and Dr. Stephanie Urillo as Board Members.
