Dr. Gary Linker to serve as state dental leader and voice promoting oral health in CT
The Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) appointed Dr. Gary Linker as its new President on May 10. Dr. Linker, a long serving member of the CSDA, will serve a one-year term leading the trade association and serving as the main spokesperson for oral health in the state.
“I’m honored to be elected to this position,” said Dr. Linker. “I thank our immediate past president, Dr. Ungerleider, for his service, and look forward to leading the Connecticut State Dental Association in the coming year.”
Dr. Gary Linker is a general dentist with an active practice in New Britain, CT. Dr. Linker is currently Chair of the CSDA Governance Review Committee. He previously served as the CSDA as Chair and member of the Insurance Council, member of the Governance Review Committee, District V Caucus Coordinator, American Dental Association Delegate and a Delegate to the CSDA House of Delegates. He was recently the President and Peer Review Chairman for the New Britain Dental Society.
Dr. Linker is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. He is also a volunteer at The Hole in the Wall Theater in downtown New Britain.
“Each year, the CSDA advocates to protect and improve the oral health of all Connecticut residents both at the state legislature and within the community,” continued Dr. Linker. “I look forward to working with the entire CSDA team and its members to impact public policy on oral health in the year ahead.”
Also, elected to the CSDA Board of Governors were: Dr. David Fried of Yalesville as President-Elect; Dr. Al Natelli of Southington as Vice President; Dr. Bethaney Brenner of Burlington as Treasurer; Dr. Annemarie Delessio-Matta (Southbury); Dr. Edward Finnigan, Jr. (Fairfield); Dr. Steve Hall (Farmington); Dr. Robert Hughes (Stamford); Dr. Tam Le (Hamden); Dr. Laurence Levy (Middletown); Dr. Nancy Treiber (New Britain); Dr. Michael Ungerleider (Granby).
