CSDA Appoints Dr. Aditya Tadinada, experienced UCONN Dental School Professor of Diagnostic Medicine.
The Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA) announced today the selection of a new Editor of the CSDA. Dr. Aditya Tadinada, experienced Oral Radiologist and Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Medicine, has taken over for Dr. Joseph Piecuch, who held the position for 10 years. Dr. Tadinada served as the Associate Editor in Chief prior to assuming the role of Editor in Chief of The Communicator, the CSDA quarterly publication, which is distributed to CSDA member dentists.
Dr. Gary Linker, President of the CSDA, said, “Dr. Tadinada has done a great job as Associate Editor, and we’re excited to install him officially as the Editor of all CSDA publications. Not only does Dr. Tadinada have a long list of professional accomplishments, but he has written and reviewed materials prolifically for the various organizations he is involved in.”
The Editor of the CSDA is responsible for maintaining and expanding the quality and value of CSDA publications. The Editor reviews and edits all scientific, editorial and feature content for all publications issued by the Connecticut State Dental Association.
Dr. Tadinada is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. He is Program Director for the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Residency, as well as Director of Student Research for the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. He serves as Chair of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology’s (AAOMR) Electronic and Publication Committee and is the editor of the AAOMR’s newsletter.
He is an experienced writer, and is co-author of more than thirty scientific articles and multiple book chapters. He has lectured widely, including at the CSDA Annual Meeting and several local Dental Societies in our state. He is a reviewer for several journals and has received an outstanding reviewer award from The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2014, 2015 and the British Association of Radiology for the past several years. In 2015, Dr. Tadinada was featured on the Connecticut Magazine’s 40 under 40 most promising people in the state of Connecticut.
As editor, Dr. Tadinada will also be responsible for collaborating with other organizations representing the health care community in the state on public and oral health issues.
