Helping Connecticut Children and Families
The Connecticut Dental Health Partnership (CTDHP) was formed in 2008 and is part of the HUSKY Health program, which in part provides dental plans by the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS). CTDHP provides management and customer service for the dental benefits portion of HUSKY Health.
CTDHP is focused on improving access to care, educating clients about oral health, building self-sufficiency and reducing barriers to participation. CTDHP works to instill the concept of a primary care dentist (PCD) and the importance of each client having a Dental Home. How do I sign up?
You may print out the paper enrollment (click here
) and submit them by mail, or enroll online
. The enrollment package is the same for all HUSKY Medicaid providers, it is not specific to dentistry. The process usually only takes about 30 minutes to read and complete the necessary forms. Questions about the enrollment forms or process?

July 2016 Update
The Department of Social Services previously announced reductions in pediatric dental reimbursement rates that were scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2016. The proposed 5% rate reduction to thechildren’s dental fee schedule has been postponed until September 1, 2016 due to feedback from dentists, members and other oral health constituents. The children’s dental fee schedule will be reduced by 2% on September 1, 2016. The Adult Reimbursement Rate will NOT change.
A small number of reimbursement reductions only for the children’s fee schedule was implemented on August 1, 2016. These include fixed reduced amounts for stainless steel crowns (codes D2930, D2931 and D2934), and periodic orthodontic treatment (code D8670). In addition, routine coverage for premolar sealants was eliminated (in the absence of a medical necessity) as of August 1, 2016.
Please check the HPE website for banner notices and the policy bulletin further detailing the changes at www.ctdssmap.com and the CTDHP website at www.ctdhp.com for more information regarding these reimbursement reductions. You may also call the Customer Service Center at 855.CTDENTAL or BeneCare’s Provider Relations Center at 888.445.6665 with any questions.
