FAQ'S
What is CPTV’s Critical Call for Oral Health?
Critical Call For Oral Health is a CPTV Connecting Our Communities initiative in partnership with the Connecticut State Dental Association to create multimedia programming initiatives and outreach services that foster collaboration, inspire understanding and effect change. The goal of the initiative is to promote that oral health is essential to overall health, and will examine oral healthcare issues throughout the life span.
What is Connecting Our Communities (COC)?
COC is a content partnership between CPTV, the CSDA, and chosen oral health partners. CSDA’s content expertise coupled with CPTV’s media experience will provide a rich stream of community-based programming.
How will you accomplish this?
CPTV’s Critical Call For Oral Health will be a 3-5 part television documentary series and multimedia awareness campaign that includes television, radio, print, web, community outreach and special events.
Is this a Commercial Advertising Campaign?
No this is NOT a commercial advertising campaign! And it is more than a television series. Critical Call For Oral Health is a comprehensive initiative where oral health care critical issues and messages will be constantly reinforced among its target audiences each & every day for 6 months to a year and beyond.
Who are the target audiences?
Citizens
Policymakers
Business/Community Leaders
Parents/caregivers & Children
Oral healthcare stakeholders – OUR CSDA MEMBERS!
Why are we doing this?
There are many benefits for the CSDA, including positioning the organization as the voice of oral healthcare in Connecticut.
How much will this cost?
The cost is based on production of 3 to 5 half-hour episodes, which is $150,000 to $250,000 ($50K per episode). The CSDA has committed $50K in seed funding to launch development of the project while working in concert with CPTV to garner the remaining funding needed from corporate sponsors and collaborative partners.
Are individual members expected to pay for this?
We are not mandating that members participate financially, but members can contribute if they so choose. Contributing members will be acknowledged for doing so.
